I can’t recommend this camp enough! My son absolutely loved it! It got him more excited to learn about his heritage and learn Spanish. Every day he came home excited to talk about what he learned and to have us try the traditional foods he made with his class. He kept his camp binders and we have made a few of the recipes since camp ended so the fun keeps going. His sister is looking forward to attending with him once she’s old enough! Week 1: June 22 – 26| Themed Safari week, Art project -campers will make a mini safari setting with African animals to take home. Where do African animals live? What do they eat?Learn introductory Spanish. Register Today
Week 2: July 6 – 10 | Themed Mascotas – Pets week, Art project – campers will make five pets to take home. As well as learn vocabulary related to daily life such as: What sounds do they make? What do they eat? How do we take care of them? Learn introductory Spanish Register Today
Week 3: July 13 -17 | Themed La Selva – Rainforest week, where is the rainforest? What is the weather like there? Campers will learn about the geography and the importance of the rainforest and the animals that live there. We’ll make a rainforest of animals to take home at the end of the week. Week 4: July 20 – 24 | Themed El Ártico- The Arctic week, We’ll explore the world of animals in the Arctic with campers this week. What is the weather like in the Arctic? What animals live there? Are they on land or in the water? Campers will learn Spanish and build an Arctic animal craft each day! Register Today
Week 5: August 17 -21 | Themed La Granja-the Farm week, what animals live on a farm? How does food get planted and harvested? We’ll make a little farm with animals to take home as well as learn Spanish vocabulary.

Week 6: August 24 – 28 | Themed La Casa – the home week, will make a house to take home. As well as learn vocabulary related to daily life such as: meals, clothing and activities in and outside the home. Register Today

Campers Age 7 – 13, FULL-DAY
Campers will visit a variety of countries without leaving the classroom. During our journeys we will learn about local culture (artists and poets), music and holidays. For hands-on experience, we will prepare and taste authentic Latin American food from each country and make crafts inspired by each country like: a piñata, a pan flute and castanets.

Introduce new vocabulary and review old vocabulary through games and activities. Talk about the craft and food items we might be making. Food or craft preparation. Lesson about the country. Lesson about La casa , la granja, el mar.
