Spanish Exploradores is seeking an enthusiastic, creative part-time Spanish teacher to lead engaging language enrichment programs for children in Havertown and the surrounding area.

About Spanish Exploradores
Spanish Exploradores is building community, one child at a time. We believe language learning should be fun, interactive, and meaningful. Our immersion-based approach encourages children to acquire Spanish naturally through songs, stories, games, movement, crafts, and real-world experiences.
We teach students from infancy through adulthood at schools, community locations, and our Havertown learning center.
Teaching Opportunities
Positions may include one or more of the following programs:
Baby & Me Classes
- Ages 9 months–4 years
- Weekday mornings and weekends
Preschool Spanish Programs
- Ages 2–6
- During school hours
Elementary School Spanish Enrichment
- Grades K–5
- Before-school and after-school programs
Havertown Learning Center Programs
- Ages 9 months–high school
- Weekday afternoons and Saturdays
Schedules vary based on program assignments, instructor availability, and enrollment.
Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish enrichment classes using the Spanish Exploradores curriculum
- Lead engaging lessons through music, games, movement, storytelling, and hands-on activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain appropriate safety standards
- Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and Spanish Exploradores team members
- Transport and organize teaching materials as needed
- Arrive prepared and on time for all assigned classes
Qualifications
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Native speakers and candidates with significant experience living in a Spanish-speaking country are encouraged to apply
- Passion for teaching and language learning
- Enjoy working with children and creating a fun learning environment
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned locations
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of teaching materials
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching Spanish
- Experience working with preschool or elementary-aged children
- Early childhood education experience
- Crafting, music, theater, or other creative teaching experience
- Education, Spanish, or early childhood education coursework or degree
Location
Programs are currently offered in Havertown, PA, and surrounding communities.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time position
- Approximately 2 – 10 hours per week
- Additional hours may become available based on performance and program growth
- Flexible schedule required
- Availability during after-school programs preferred
- Must be willing to travel to assigned teaching locations
Compensation: $50–$70 per hour, based on experience and performance
Required Clearances & Certifications
Prior to teaching, instructors must obtain:
- FBI Criminal Background Check
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (reimbursement available)
